Join the Social Sew- a welcoming event where beginners and seasoned stitchers come together to sew a unique phone push using recycled jeans and colourful upholstery fabric.

Whether you’re just starting out or already confident with a needle and thread, this hands on session is the perfect chance to learn, share and connect.

A selection of fabulous drinks and nibbles will be provided throughout the session.

The project is simple, sustainable, and satisfying, and by the end, you’ll have a handy, homespun phone pouch to take home. Let’s build a creative sewing community.

This session is priced at £45 and will require a £10 deposit to secure your place.

A cosy, hands‑on four‑week journey into the craft of upholstery — designed for anyone who loves making beautiful things and wants to learn in a warm, creative community.

At Web&Down Upholstery and Soft Furnishings, you can book a 1:1 or 1:2 personalised footstool‑making course, with dates arranged directly between you and your tutor so the experience fits your life rather than the other way around.

Over four weekly sessions, each two hours long, you’ll learn how to:

Build your own footstool from frame to finish

Select your fabric from the workshop’s curated materials or purchase your own with expert guidance from your tutor — please note that fabric is not included in the course fee

Use upholstery tools with confidence

Apply modern techniques to create a piece that lasts

Finish your stool with professional polish

All for £300, covering tuition, core materials, and a welcoming space where creativity thrives.
